South Broadway Press will have an open call for full-length manuscript submissions in October of 2026. We will be requesting a 20-page sample of a 60-100 page manuscript. We will be closing this call after we’ve received 100 submissions.
We have an ongoing call for reviews of poetry books.
Our annual Ponderosa Prize, awarding publication and a $500 honorarium to a BIPOC poet, will be open in February of 2027.
Our call for submissions to our online journal is now closed, and will open again in July of 2027.

HUMAN INTELLIGENCE
As a press, we are not interested in work that was created utilizing AI. We believe in human intelligence and that we need now more than ever to continue to cultivate our personal power and not outsource it. Data centers create an incredible strain on communities, often BIPOC and low income communities, as well as the non-human life that strives to continue to exist near them. With this in mind, we are committed to human intelligence, not artificial intelligence.
